And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.


And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.


And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.


And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dry.


the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;


and that captain answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? and he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof:


Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.


Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; Again, he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.


He breaketh open a shaft away from where men sojourn; They are forgotten of the foot; They hang afar from men, they swing to and fro.


Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?


Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,


He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.


Thou didst cleave fountain and flood: Thou driedst up mighty rivers.


By his knowledge the depths were broken up, And the skies drop down the dew.


And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.


The earth is utterly broken, the earth is rent asunder, the earth is shaken violently.


Fear ye not me? saith Jehovah: will ye not tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it? and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it.


When he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.


For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters shall cover thee;


Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.


For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,


When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.


by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
