Psalm 6 - Y'all Version BibleFor the music director, on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David. 1 YHWH, do not rebuke me in your anger, or discipline me in the heat of your wrath. 2 Have mercy on me, YHWH, for I am faint. YHWH, heal me, for my bones are trembling. 3 My soul is utterly shaken. But you, YHWH—how long? 4 Return, YHWH. Deliver my soul, and save me because of your lovingkindness. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of you. In Sheol, who will give you thanks? 6 I am weary from my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. and drench my couch with tears. 7 My eyes waste away from sorrow. They grow old because of all my enemies. 8 Y’all leave from me, all who practice evil, for YHWH has heard the sound of my weeping. 9 YHWH has heard my begging for favor. YHWH accepts my prayer. 10 May all my enemies be overwhelmed with shame and terror. They will turn back and suddenly be disgraced. |
