Psalm 137 - Y'all Version Bible

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, and we wept when we remembered Zion.

On the willows in that land, we hung up our harps.

For there, our captors asked us for songs. Our tormentors demanded songs of joy: “Y’all must sing one of the songs of Zion for us!”

How can we sing YHWH’s song in a foreign land?

If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill.

Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I don’t remember you, if I don’t prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Remember, YHWH, what the children of Edom said in the day of Jerusalem, “Destroy it, y’all! Y’all destroy it down to its foundation!”

Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who repays you, according to what you have done to us.

Happy is the one, who grabs your babies and smashes them against the rock.
