Psalm 75 - Easy To Read Version

¹ We praise you, God!\par We praise you.\par You {\cf2\super [428]} are near and people tell about\par the amazing things you do.\par

² God says,\par “I choose the time for judgment.\par I will judge fairly.\par

^3-5 The earth and everything on it\par may be shaking and ready to fall,\par but I make it steady.”\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [429]})\i0 \par

⁶ There is no power on earth\par that can make a person important. {\cf2\super [430]} \par

⁷ God is the judge.\par And God decides who will be important.\par God lifts up one person\par and makes him important,\par God brings down another person\par and makes him not important.\par

⁸ \{God is ready to punish evil people.\}\par The Lord has a cup in his hand.\par That cup is filled with poisoned wine.\par He will pour this wine (punishment),\par and wicked people will drink it\par to the last drop.\par

⁹ I will always tell people about these things.\par I will sing praise to the God of Israel.\par

¹⁰ I will take power away from wicked people,\par and I will give power to good people.\par
