Psalm 20 - Easy To Read Version

¹ May the Lord answer your call for help\par when you have troubles.\par May the God of Jacob protect you.\par

² May God send you help from his Holy Place.\par May he support you from Zion. {\cf2\super [114]} \par

³ May God remember all the gifts you offered.\par May he accept all your sacrifices. {\cf2\super [115]} \par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [116]})\i0 \par

⁴ May God give you what you really want.\par May he make all your plans successful.\par

⁵ We will be happy when God helps you.\par Let’s praise God’s name.\par May the Lord give you\par everything that you ask for!\par

⁶ Now I know the Lord helps\par the king he chose!\par God was in his holy heaven,\par and he answered his chosen king.\par God used his great power to save the king.\par

⁷ Some people trust their chariots. {\cf2\super [117]} \par Other people trust their soldiers.\par But we remember the Lord our God.\par

⁸ Those other people were defeated—\par they died in battle.\par But we won! We are the winners!\par

⁹ The Lord saved his chosen king!\par God’s chosen king called for help.\par And God answered!\par
