Psalm 19 - Easy To Read Version

¹ The heavens speak about God’s glory.\par The skies tell about the good things\par his hands have made.\par

² Each new day tells more of the story.\par And each night reveals more and more about God’s power.\par

³ You can’t really hear any speech or words.\par They don’t make any sound we can hear.\par

⁴ But their “voice” goes throughout the world.\par Their “words” go to the ends of the earth.\par

⁵ The sun comes out like a happy bridegroom from his bedroom.\par The sun begins its path across the sky\par like an athlete eager to run his race.\par

⁶ The sun starts at one end of the sky,\par and it runs all the way to the other end.\par Nothing can hide from its heat.\par

⁷ The Lord’s teachings are perfect.\par They give strength to God’s people.\par The Lord’s Agreement {\cf2\super [110]} can be trusted.\par It helps foolish people become wise.\par

⁸ The Lord’s laws are right.\par They make people happy.\par The Lord’s commands are good.\par They show people the right way to live.\par

⁹ Worshiping the Lord is like a light\par that will shine bright forever.\par The Lord’s judgments are good and fair.\par They are completely right.\par

¹⁰ The Lord’s teachings are worth more than the best gold.\par They are sweeter than the best honey\par that comes straight from the honeycomb.\par

¹¹ The Lord’s teachings warn his servant.\par Good things come from obeying them.\par

¹² \{Lord,\} no person can see all of his own mistakes.\par So don’t let me do secret sins.\par

¹³ Don’t let me do the sins I want to do.\par Don’t let those sins rule me.\par If you help me, then I can be pure\par and free from my sins.\par

¹⁴ I hope my words and thoughts please you.\par Lord, you are my Rock {\cf2\super [111]} —\par You are the One who saves me.\par
