¹ Honor the Lord because he is God.\par His true love continues forever!\par

⁴ You people worshiping the Lord, say it.\par “His true love continues forever!”\par

⁵ I was in trouble\par so I called to the Lord for help.\par The Lord answered me\par and made me free.\par

⁶ The Lord is with me,\par so I will not be afraid.\par People can’t do anything to hurt me.\par

⁷ The Lord is my helper.\par I will see my enemies defeated.\par

⁸ It is better to trust the Lord\par than to trust people.\par

⁹ It is better to trust the Lord\par than to trust your leaders.\par

¹⁰ Many enemies surrounded me.\par But with the Lord’s power\par I defeated my enemies.\par

¹¹ Enemies surrounded me again and again.\par I defeated them with the Lord’s power.\par

¹² Enemies surrounded me\par like a swarm of bees.\par But, they were quickly finished\par like a fast burning bush.\par I defeated them with the Lord’s power.\par

¹³ My enemy attacked me\par and almost destroyed me.\par But the Lord helped me.\par
