They are to be on Aaron and on his sons, when they go in to the Tent of Meeting, or when they come near to the altar to minister in the holy place, that they don’t bear iniquity, and die. This is to be a permanent statute to him and to his offspring after him.


If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness. They will bear their sin, and they will die childless.


“‘They must follow my commandment, so they do not bear sin for it and die in it, if they profane it. I am YHWH who sanctifies them.


You and your sons, y’all are to carry out y’all’s priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil. Y’all must serve. I give the service of the priesthood to y’all as a gift. The stranger who comes near must be put to death.”


You are to appoint Aaron and his sons to keep their priesthood, but the stranger who comes near must be put to death.”


Moses, Aaron, and his sons, who keep the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel, camped before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise. Any outsider who approaches was to be put to death.
