Moses said, “This is what YHWH has commanded, ‘An omer-full of it is be preserved throughout y’all’s generations, so that they may see the bread that I fed y’all in the wilderness, when I brought y’all out of the land of Egypt.’”
As YHWH commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
Listen, y’all heavens, Pay attention, you earth! For YHWH has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children but they have rebelled against me.
“Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah. There they remained. The battle against the children of iniquity doesn’t overtake them in Gibeah.
Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
“Y’all must separate from among this congregation, so that I may consume them instantly!”
As for the censers of those who sinned against their own lives, y’all are beat them into plates for a covering of the altar, for they offered them before YHWH. Therefore they are holy. They will be a sign to the children of Israel.”
to be a memorial to the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger who isn’t of the offspring of Aaron, would come near to burn incense before YHWH, that he not be as Korah and as his company; as YHWH spoke to him by Moses.
You are to place them up in the Tent of Meeting before the covenant, where I meet with y’all.
Moses brought out all the rods from before YHWH to all the children of Israel. They looked, and each man took his staff.
“Y’all must allow the tribe of the families of the Kohathites to be cut off from among the Levites.
Y’all don’t grumble, as some of them did, and perished by the destroying angel.
Let no one deceive y’all with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Y’all have been rebellious against YHWH from the first day that I knew y’all.
You must remember and not forget how you provoked YHWH your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until y’all came to this place, y’all have been rebellious against YHWH.
