Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. YHWH gave victory to David wherever he went.


When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of YHWH, she came to test him with hard questions.


For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame was in all the nations all around.


The fame of David went out into all lands; and YHWH brought the fear of him on all nations.


Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, also onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to him. Jesus healed him, so that blind and mute man could speak and see.


At that time, Herod the tetrarch heard the reports about Jesus,


A Canaanite woman came out from that region and cried out, “Have mercy on me, Lord, son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”


“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has seizures and suffers miserably. He often falls into the fire or into the water.


Jesus rebuked the demon, and it went out of him, and the boy was cured from at once.


Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the empire, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.


When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gadarenes, two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs. They were so exceedingly violent that nobody could pass that way.


Those who fed them fled and went away into the city and reported everything, including what happened to those who were possessed by demons.


saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, suffering terribly.”


The news of this spread throughout that region.


Jesus went through all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the empire, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.


Reports about him spread everywhere in the whole region of Galilee and its surrounding area.


When evening came, after sunset, the people began bringing him everyone who was sick and those who were possessed by demons.


Some people came, bringing a paralyzed man to him, carried by four of them.


When they could not get near to him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him. When they had dug through it, they lowered the mat that the paralyzed man was lying on.


Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat and walk?’


This was the first census taken when Quirinius was governor of Syria.


Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread throughout the whole countryside.


Jesus left the synagogue and went to Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they begged him to help her.


But news about him spread even more, and large crowds came together to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.


But so that y’all may know that the Son of Humanity has authority on earth to forgive sins,” —he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take up your cot, and go home.”


This news about him spread throughout all of Judea and the surrounding region.


Others said, “These are not the words of someone possessed by a demon. Does a demon have the power to open the eyes of the blind?”

He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


After this happened, the rest of those on the island who were sick came and were cured.


For unclean spirits came out with loud shrieks from many who were possessed, and many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed.


So YHWH was with Joshua; and his fame was in all the land.
