Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.


he said to them, “Y’all need to leave, because the girl is not dead but asleep.” But they ridiculed him.


He came to the synagogue ruler’s house and saw a commotion, with weeping and loud wailing.


They ridiculed him. But he cast them all out, took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.


Paul went downstairs, fell upon him and embraced him, saying, “Don’t worry, y’all! His life is still in him.”


For this reason many among y’all are weak and sickly, and several have fallen asleep.
