I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against ʜɪᴍ.
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in lovingkindness.
Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? See, now you have heard his blasphemy.
Then some of the scribes said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming.”
Y’all have heard the blasphemy! What do y’all think?” They all condemned him to be worthy of death.
But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this is what they were thinking to themselves, and he said to them, “Why are y’all thinking such things in your* hearts?
The scribes and the Pharisees began to think to themselves, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
Those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
The Jews answered him, “We don’t stone you for any excellent work, but for blasphemy, because you, being human, make yourself out to be God.”
do y’all say to the one the Father has set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God?’
