They asked him, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have y’all not read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have prepared praise for yourself?’”


Jesus said to them, “Have y’all never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This was from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?


But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t y’all read what God said to you*,


When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was famished.


There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died leaving no children.


But about the dead being raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
