But he said to them, “Haven’t y’all read what David did when he was hungry? He and his companions


But if y’all had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ y’all wouldn’t have condemned the innocent.


They asked him, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have y’all not read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have prepared praise for yourself?’”


Jesus said to them, “Have y’all never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This was from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?


For in the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.


‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ Hᴇ is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”


But y’all go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
