but the seventh day is a Sabbath to YHWH your God. You must not do any work in it, not you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your city gates.


Work is to be done for six days, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to YHWH. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death-death.


Blessed is the one who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”


For YHWH says, “To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, choose the things that please me, and hold fast to my covenant,


Also the foreigners who join themselves to YHWH to serve ʜɪᴍ, and to love the name of YHWH, to be ʜɪꜱ servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant,


“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of YHWH honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,


But the Pharisees, when they saw this, said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is unlawful to do on the Sabbath.”


When the scribes and the Pharisees saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, “Why does he eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”


He said to them, “Haven’t y’all read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry?


“Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”


For y’all should contemplate him and the hostility he endured from sinners, so that y’all don’t grow weary and lose heart.
