Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a pure and faithful seed. How then have you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?


“For it is like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.


Therefore he said, “A man of noble birth went into a far country to receive an empire for himself and then to return.


At harvest time, he sent a servant to the farmers to some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.


Then Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell y’all by what authority I do these things.”


You are to appoint judges and officers for all your town gates that YHWH your God gives you, according to your tribes. They are to judge the people with righteous judgment.
