The soul of the sluggard craves, but has nothing, while the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.


The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway.


Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.


In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem, “Don’t be afraid, Zion. Don’t let your hands be weak.”


About five in the afternoon, he went out and found others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why do you stand here all day without work?’


Y’all shouldn’t work for food that perishes, but for the food that endures toward eternal life, which the Son of Humanity will give y’all. For God the Father has sealed him.”

Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. YHWH said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.

Y’all appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them. They are to go up and walk through the land, and write a description of it according to their inheritance. Then they will return to me.


They said, “Arise, and let’s go up against them. We have seen the land, it is very good! Are y’all going to stand still? Y’all must not hesitate in going in to seize the land.
