Now a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said, “YHWH says, ‘Have you seen all this great multitude? Watch, I will deliver it into your hand today. Then you will know that I am YHWH.’”
What then should we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
YHWH said to me, “You are not to fear him, because I have delivered him, with all his people and his land, into your hand. You are to do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”
Hᴇ will deliver their kings into your hand, and you are to make their name vanish from under the sky. No one will be able to stand before you until you have destroyed them.
Joshua said to them, “Y’all must not be afraid or discouraged. Y’all must be strong and courageous, for YHWH will do this to all y’all’s enemies whom y’all fight.”
Joshua therefore came to them suddenly. He marched from Gilgal all night.
YHWH said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You must hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”
YHWH said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid or discouraged. Take all the warriors with you, arise, and go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, with his people, his city, and his land.
YHWH said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you will strike the Midianites as one man.”
That same night, YHWH said to him, “Arise, go down into the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.
and that all this assembly may know that YHWH does not save by sword and spear. For the battle is YHWH’s, and ʜᴇ will give y’all into our hand.”
