With the faithful you will show yourself faithful. With the complete person, you show yourself complete.
Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor, will also cry out, but not be heard.
Whoever oppresses the poor for his own increase and whoever gives to the rich, both come to poverty.
When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
But let the one who glories glory in this, that they have understanding, and know me, that I am YHWH who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things,” says YHWH.
Tell them, ‘“As surely as I live,” says Lord YHWH, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Y’all must turn, turn from your* evil ways! Why will y’all die, house of Israel?”’
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in lovingkindness.
But if y’all don’t forgive humans, neither will your* Father forgive y’all’s sins.
“But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that in your lifetime, you received your good things, just as Lazarus received bad things. But now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
Don’t y’all judge, and y’all won’t be judged. Don’t y’all condemn, and y’all won’t be condemned. Y’all forgive, and y’all will be forgiven.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, and without hypocrisy.
Look! The wages of the laborers who mowed y’all’s fields, which y’all have kept back by fraud, cry out against y’all. The cries of the harvesters have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.
