He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood near him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,


The two angels came to Sodom at evening. Lot sat in the gate of Sodom. Lot saw them and went up to meet them. He bowed with his face to the earth,


He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.


He made him ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt.


The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.


All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.


Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, and he was still there. They fell on the ground before him.


They told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” His heart fainted, for he didn’t believe them.


So now it wasn’t y’all who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.


Joseph took them from Israel’s knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.


People curse someone who withholds grain, but a blessing will come on the head of the one who sells it.


The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you City of YHWH, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
