YHWH appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your offspring.” So he built an altar there to YHWH, who had appeared to him.
He left from there to go to the mountain on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to YHWH and called on the name of YHWH.
Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to YHWH.
Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together.

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By his wounds, y’all were healed.”
