Jesus therefore said to him, “Unless y’all see signs and wonders, y’all just won’t believe.”
Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to y’all first. Since indeed y’all reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the ethnic groups.
“People of Israel, y’all listen to these words! Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to y’all by God with miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through him among y’all, just as y’all already know.
But I don’t consider my life worth even a single mention. Instead I aim to finish my race and the deacon-work which I received from the Lord Jesus—to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Now I am entrusting y’all to God and to the word of ʜɪꜱ grace, which is able to build y’all up and to give y’all an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
When they had prayed, the place where they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
We are witnesses of these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey ʜɪᴍ.”

God also confirmed their testimony by signs and wonders, by various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
