Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!


Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me. All my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of YHWH, and because of his holy words.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore y’all, stand firm and don’t be entangled again by a yoke of bondage.


For y’all were called to freedom, siblings. Only don’t use y’all’s freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.


and they may sober up from the devil’s trap, having been taken captive by him to do his will.


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.


Live as free people, not using freedom as a covering for evil, but as slaves of God.


Through these things ʜᴇ has granted to us ʜɪꜱ precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them y’all may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption of the world caused by evil desire.


For if, after they have escaped the corruption of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, their last state has become worse for them than the first.
