But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke y’all to jealousy with a non-ethnic group. I will enrage y’all with an ignorant ethnic group.”
Just as y’all were disobedient to God in time past, but now y’all have been shown mercy because of their disobedience,

even though I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. However, I was shown mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help us in time of need.
