Now concerning virgins: I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy.


For y’all have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jewish religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.


regarding zeal, persecuting the assembly; regarding the righteousness that is in the law, found blameless.


However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as the worst one, Jesus Christ might display all his patience as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help us in time of need.


Formerly, not a people, now the people of God. Formerly not receiving mercy, but now receiving mercy.
