Then came he to his disciples and said unto them: Sleep henceforth, and take your rest. Take heed the hour is at hand, and the son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners.


¶ While he yet spake, lo, Iudas one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, which were sent from the chief priests and seniors of the people.


Rise up, let us go. Lo he that betrayeth me, is come nye.


Notwithstanding I must be baptised with a baptism. And how am I pained till it be ended?


And he said unto them: I have inwardly desired to eat this ester lamb with you before that I suffer.


¶ Yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me, is with me on the table.


¶ And it followed when the time was come that he should be received up and that he determined himself to go to Ierusalem:


But that the world may know that I love my father, And as the father gave me commandment, even so do I. Rise let us go hence.


Peter turned about, and saw that disciple whom Iesus loved following (which also leaned on his breast at supper) and said: Lord which is he that shall betray thee?


Then Paul answered, and said: What do ye weeping, and breaking mine heart? I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Ierusalem for the name of the Lord Iesu.
