Then he that had received the five talents, went and bestowed them, and won other five.


Then came he that had received five talents, and brought other five saying: master, thou deliveredst unto me five talents, lo I have gained with them five more.


Also he that received ij. talents came, and said: master, thou deliveredest unto me ij. talents: lo I have won ij. other talents with them.


¶ He which had received the one talent came also, and said: master, I considered that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not,


He said therefore: A certain noble man, went into a far country, to receive a kingdom, and then to come again.


But his citizens hated him, and sent messengers after him, saying: We will not have this man to reign over us.


If any man minister unto me, let him follow me and where I am there shall also my minister be. And if any man minister unto me, him will my father honour.


Seek I now the faveour of men, or of God? Other go I about to please men? If I studied to please men, I were not the servant of Christ.


¶ Iames the servant of God, and of the Lord Iesus Christ, sendeth greeting to the xij. tribes which are scattered here and there.


¶ Simon Peter a servant and an Apostle of Iesus Christ, to them which have obtained like precious faith with us in the righteousness that cometh of our God, and of the saviour Iesus Christ.
