¶ Even as they departed, Iesus began to speak unto the people of Ihon. What went ye for to see in the wilderness? went ye out to see a reed wavering with the wind?


¶ In those days Ihon the Baptiser, came and preached in the wilderness of jury


For he shall be great in the sight of God, and shall neither drink wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the holy ghost, even in his mother's womb:


And the child grew and waxed strong in spirit, and was full of wisdom, and the favour of God was with him.


And Iesus increased in wisdom and age, and in favour with God and man.


and I knew him not: but that he should be declared to Israhell, therefore came I baptising with water.


And mightily he overcame the jews openly shewing by the scriptures that Iesus was Christ.
