¶ Then assembled together the chief priests and scribes and seniors of the people into the palace of the high priest, called Caiphas:
When Anna and Cayphas were the high priests: The commandment of God was published unto Ihon the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
And one of them named Caiphas: which was the high priest that same year, said unto them: Ye perceive nothing at all
and set them in the midst, and asked by what power, or in what name have ye done this sirs?
When they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning and taught. ¶ The chief priest came and they that were with him and called a council together, and all the seniors of the children of Israhel, and sent to the prison to fetch them.
