And the Lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely. For the children of this world, are in their kind, wiser then the children of light.


I have given them thy doctrine, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¶ He that cometh from on high is above all: he that is of the earth is off the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, is above all:


And he said unto them: ye are from beneath, I am from above. Ye are of this world, I am not of this world.


For the time will come, when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but after their own lusts shall they (whose ears itch) get them an heap of teachers,
