For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings.


And Jesus seeing their thoughts said, Why think ye evil in your hearts?


And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.


Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, envy, evil speaking, pride, foolishness.


And he said to them, Ye are they who justify yourselves before men: but God knoweth your hearts: And that which is highly esteemed among men, is an abomination before God.


And to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, did it not remain thine? And when it was sold, was it not in thy power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thy heart? Thou hast not lied to men, but to God.


Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.


For when we were in the flesh, sinful passions, which were by the law, wrought in our members, so as to bring forth fruit unto death.


But sin taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of desire: for without the law sin was dead.


Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:


For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, inslaved to various desires and pleasures, living in wickedness and envy, hateful, hating one another:


Stand thou there, or, Sit thou here under my footstool, Ye distinguish not in yourselves, but are become evil-reasoning judges.
