But he turning said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me: for thou savourest not the things of God, but the things of men.


Wo to the world because of offences: for it must needs be that offences come; but wo to that man by whom the offence cometh.


And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded tho' one rose from the dead.


Let us therefore no longer judge one another; but judge this rather, not to lay a stumbling block, or a scandal before a brother.


Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them.


Give no offence either to the Jews, or to the Gentiles, or to the church of God:


For there must be heresies also among you, that the approved among you may be manifest).


Wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.


But the spirit saith expresly, that in the later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils,


But I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.


But I have against thee, that thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who callest herself a prophetess, and teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
