Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; the first, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;


And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers.


My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.


Therefore also the wisdom of God hath said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will slay, and persecute the rest.


And he brought him to Jesus. And Jesus looking upon him, said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonah; thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, Peter.


If any man serve me, let him follow me, and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honour.


Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you. As the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.


Simon hath declared, how God at first visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.


Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God,


that ye may be established, That is, to be comforted together with you, by the mutual faith both of you and me.


For the righteousness of God is revealed therein from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith.


and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:


For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.


Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord?


according to what is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken, we also believe, and therefore speak:


For he hath made him, who knew no sin, a sin-offering for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God through him.

Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to the holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,


And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers;


One Lord, one faith, one baptism:


Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons,


This also is of God. For to you it is given, with regard to Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him:


that I may gain Christ, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:


Remembering the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; I am persuaded in thee also.

By which he hath given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these, having escaped the corruption which is in the world thro' desire, ye may become partakers of the divine nature:
