A gossip reveals secrets, but one who is trustworthy conceals a matter.
He who watches his mouth protects his life, but whoever opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
A violent person lures his neighbor, leading him down a path that is no good.
The words of a gossip are tasty morsels, going down into one’s innermost being.
“You are not to go up and down as a talebearer among your people. You are not to endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Adonai.
For such people do not serve our Lord the Messiah, but only their own belly. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.
