You know my reproach, my shame, my disgrace. All my adversaries are before You.


An anxious heart weighs one down, but a good word cheers him up.


to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of Adonai, that He may be glorified.


Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus—my brother and co-worker and fellow soldier, as well as your messenger and aide to my need.


He certainly was sick, close to death. But God had mercy on him—and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.


Therefore, my brothers and sisters whom I love and long for, my joy and crown—stand firm in the Lord in this way, my loved ones.


You rejoice in this greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials.
