“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” It is a declaration of Adonai.


“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, thus says Adonai Elohim: “Oy , shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should shepherds not take care of the sheep?


Her princes within her are roaring lions. Her judges are wolves of the night, leaving nothing but bones for morning.


For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the dying, seek out the young or heal the injured or nourish the healthy. Instead he will eat the meat of the choice sheep, even tearing off their hoofs.”


“Amen, amen I tell you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.


My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me.


They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”


For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody; and a number of men, maybe four hundred, joined up with him. He was killed, and all who followed him were scattered and came to nothing.
