Let them bring forth and tell us what will happen. The former things, what were they? Tell us, that we may consider them and know their outcome. Or announce to us things to come.
First it was to Zion: “Behold, here they are!” And to Jerusalem: “I will give a herald of good news.”
Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things. Before they spring forth I announce them to you.”
All the nations are gathered together, and the peoples are assembled. Who among them can declare this, and proclaim to us former things? Let them present their witnesses so they may be justified, or let them hear and say, “It’s true.”
Declare and present your case, Indeed, let them consult together. Who foretold this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Is it not I, Adonai? There is no other God beside Me —a righteous God and a Savior— there is none besides Me!
Not one good thing that Adonai had promised to the house of Israel failed. All came to pass.
