Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is of no benefit. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and are life!
For the law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yeshua has set you free from the law of sin and death.
So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory—just as from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
He also made us competent as servants of a new covenant—not of the letter, but of the Ruach. For the letter kills, but the Ruach gives life.
Now because you are sons, God sent the Ruach of His Son into our hearts, who cries out, “Abba! Father!”
For freedom, Messiah set us free—so stand firm, and do not be burdened by a yoke of slavery again.
Brothers and sisters, you were called to freedom—only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity but of power and love and self-discipline.
