About that time Judah went down from his brothers and he camped near an Adullamite man, whose name was Hirah.


Three of the 30 leaders went down to David at the rock at the cave of Adullam, while a band of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.


Of David, when he feigned insanity before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left.


Yet I will bring the possessor to you, inhabitant of Mareshah. The glory of Israel will come as far as Adullam.
