the people of Tyre will sue your favor with gifts, the richest of the people


Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia— “This one was born there,” they say.


For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens; behold, it descends for judgment upon Edom, upon the people I have doomed.


As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.


therefore thus says the Lord God: I speak in my hot jealousy against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt, that they might possess it and plunder it.


“Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Beth-saida! for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.


And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.


And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house, and would not have any one know it; yet he could not be hid.


Then he returned from the region of Tyre, and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of the Decapolis.


And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases;


The lot for the tribe of the people of Judah according to their families reached southward to the boundary of Edom, to the wilderness of Zin at the farthest south.


The cities belonging to the tribe of the people of Judah in the extreme South, toward the boundary of Edom, were Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
