“If I have withheld anything that the poor desired, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,


The upright see it and are glad; and all wickedness stops its mouth.


But the king shall rejoice in God; all who swear by him shall glory; for the mouths of liars will be stopped.


For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish for ever.


But against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, not a dog shall growl; that you may know that the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.


What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge.”


Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave command concerning Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, saying,


And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs;


Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.


Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
