These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God.
But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was wholly true to the Lord all his days.
that the Lord may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.’
And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show his might in behalf of those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”
And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, yet not with a blameless heart.
