Then the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave,


I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry which has come to me; and if not, I will know.”


And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh; for the earth is filled with violence through them; behold, I will destroy them with the earth.


But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.


Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.


And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, birds, cattle, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm upon the earth, and every man;


And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:


and he sings before men, and says: ‘I sinned, and perverted what was right, and it was not requited to me.


The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
