therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.


Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”


Behold, thou hast driven me this day away from the ground; and from thy face I shall be hidden; and I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will slay me.”


who makest the winds thy messengers, fire and flame thy ministers.


Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou who leadest Joseph like a flock! Thou who art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth


The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!


“Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me an offering; from every man whose heart makes him willing you shall receive the offering for me.
