That th' enemy reproached hath, O keep it in record; And that the foolish people have blasphem'd thy name, O Lord.

Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, And that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

[Earnestly] remember how the enemy has scoffed, O Lord, and reproached You, and how a foolish and impious people has blasphemed Your name.

Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Jehovah, And that a foolish people hath blasphemed thy name.

So remember this, LORD: how enemies have insulted you, how unbelieving fools have abused your name.

Remember Edom's children, Lord, who in Jerus'lems day, Ev'n unto its foundation, Raze, raze it quite, did say.

Free me from all my trespasses, the fool's scorn make not me.

Blessed is he that wisely doth the poor man's case consider; For when the time of trouble is, the Lord will him deliver.

Do thou, O God, arise and plead the cause that is thine own: Remember how thou art reproach'd still by the foolish one.
