Great is the Lord, much to be prais'd; his greatness search exceeds.


Great is our Lord, and of great pow'r; his wisdom search can none.


Yet, notwithstanding, I have him to be my King appointed; And over Sion, my holy hill, I have him King anointed.


Lord, I will thee extol, for thou hast lifted me on high, And over me thou to rejoice mad'st not mine enemy.


Like as the hart for water-brooks in thirst doth pant and bray; So pants my longing soul, O God, that come to thee I may.


God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;


A river is, whose streams do glad the city of our God; The holy place, wherein the Lord most high hath his abode.


God rules the nations: God sits on his throne of holiness.


Praise waits for thee in Sion, Lord: to thee vows paid shall be.


But he did chuse Jehudah's tribe to be the rest above; And of mount Sion he made choice, which he so much did love.


Because thou art exceeding great, and works by thee are done Which are to be admir'd; and thou art God thyself alone.


Upon the hills of holiness he his foundation sets.


Things glorious are said of thee, thou city of the Lord.


For great's the Lord, and greatly he is to be magnify'd; Yea, worthy to be fear'd is he above all gods beside.


Do ye exalt the Lord our God, and at his holy hill Do ye him worship: for the Lord our God is holy still.
