For, as an hearth, my bones are burnt, my days, like smoke, do waste.


By reason of my groaning voice my bones cleave to my skin.


For upon me both day and night thine hand did heavy lie, So that my moisture turned is in summer's drought thereby.


Of gladness and of joyfulness make me to hear the voice; That so these very bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.


Lord, pity me, for I am weak: Heal me, for my bones vexed be.
