My eyes fail from watching for your salvation, and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.


For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my misery, and my bones waste away.


As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.


My eyes waste away because of grief; they grow weak because of all my foes.


I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.


my eye grows dim through sorrow. Every day I call on you, O Lord; I spread out my hands to you.


My mind reels, horror has appalled me; the twilight I longed for has been turned for me into trembling.


My eyes are spent with weeping; my stomach churns; my bile is poured out on the ground because of the destruction of my people, because infants and babes faint in the streets of the city.
