Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let the wise also hear and gain in learning, and the discerning acquire skill,
Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they are to be left for salt.
The wise among the people shall give understanding to many; for some days, however, they shall fall by sword and flame, and suffer captivity and plunder.
