His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”


Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.


We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.


What! Do you not have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you show contempt for the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I commend you? In this matter I do not commend you!


If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.


Fool! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.


Therefore, if food is a cause of their falling, I will never eat meat, so that I may not cause one of them to fall.


But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.


To the weak I became weak, so that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some.


For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. This is what we pray for, that you may become perfect.


But when I saw that they were not acting consistently with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”


Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.


“I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance. I know that you cannot tolerate evildoers; you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them to be false.


But I have this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet and is teaching and beguiling my servants to practice fornication and to eat food sacrificed to idols.
